Last evening “Mee” contacted Brenda saying she needs a ride to the grocery store for supplies. This elderly woman lives in several miles away in a senior apartment housing unit. Mee’s daughter lives abroad as a worker and keeps an eye on her mother.

This hour long Sunday evening trip to Trader Joe’s is an example of challenges faced by those living away from home. Brenda was indirectly providing support for the daughter who lives halfway around the world.
